About Azeem Azam



Azeem Azam (Azeem means MIGHTY, born Oct 16 1983) is an English footballer, basically an Anglo-Turkish. Azam started his football career with Nottingham Forest Academy at the age of 13 where he established himself in the First eleven. After then, Azeem joined Leeds United at 17. His Impressive skills Was sufficient to electrify Leeds, but unfortunately he suffered number of injuries, where he ripped his ligaments. Leaving Behind the past and injuries, undaunted Azam moved to America's MLS, initially to train, but as he started to receive assorted offers from MLS teams, Azam decided to stay longer, but never signed a deal due to MLS financial restraints. He is consistently cited by football pundits, managers, fellow players and many football fans as the new emerging player. It is said that he's the finest English midfielder of Turkish descent of all time. Fans call him Zinedine Zidane of England because of his Turkish Descent and his style of playing soccer. 

From a normal Middle class family, Azam Started his professional football early at 13 with Nottingham forest Academy, subsequently moved to Leeds United. He also played with MLS, AS Monaco and Real Betis. He was seen out of the field most of the time due to injuries. 
Azeem Azam did not signed Manchester city at his 20s because of his injuries. Begin his career at 13, then moved to Leeds United at 16 after disagreements over his future and his Family. Azeem ruptured his ACL at Leeds which stopped any further progress.To recover from injuries and get more professionally trained, Azeem Azam moved to MLS in America. Azam attracted a number of clubs, but the financial positions of MLS teams forced Azam to look for European clubs.

French Club AS Monaco's Deal was a success with Azeem Azam in 04/05, with a one year contract. But Injury still followed him like a shadow which took him to the Treatment Pool. He could not make it for first 6 months in France, eventually made his debut in September 2005, in a small scale match against Montepillier.Game went good for Azeem and his colleagues, he was applauded by local Radio station. His impressive goal plus Groin Injury balanced everything to nothing which took him again to the back seat.


In June 26 2006 Real Betis Signed Azeem Azam which was confirmed by Seville Radio Station. His game was Impressive again with his impressive knocks against big clubs like Atletico Madrid and Valencia. His game attracted Juventus and Galatasaray. However injuries have kept him away from the field, which caused him to stay away from the clubs association. His agent Peter Day, has confirmed in recent press conference that Azeem is fully fit to start a refreshing game again with a new boost. 

Azeem Azam admired Maradona form the very beginning, which inspired him to start his career in football. He also praised Tevez style of playing, professionalism. 
Azeem also wrote a noted article to inspire young footballers known as "How to become a professional footballer- Tips by Azeem Azam"
